Dolcemare Boutique Resort opens in March 2016. The project was born from the desire of Alessandra
and Moreno to create a unique place, surrounded by greenery where silence and tranquility reign, where customers can, like them, wake up in the morning to the singing of
birds and fall asleep in the evening to the background sound of the sea.
The entirely anti-seismic structure combines modern construction materials and ancient recycled wood
from a Gladak house purchased by Moreno in Java and transported, dismantled, to Gili. Each room was
designed and furnished by Alessandra with antique furniture chosen one by one and renovated by her.
The rough marble floors are very reminiscent of Italian terracotta.
Alessandra and Moreno, with their children Adriano and Renato, despite deeply loving Indonesia, which
they call home, remain Italian at heart! Italy that Alessandra also puts in her dishes, where Emilia meets
the sea, a fresh catch every day that Moreno, an expert freediving fisherman, brings to her kitchen.
Dolcemare is a piece of Italy at Gili Air, the simple and affectionate welcome typical of a large Italian
family welcomes guests, who become part of it. In fact, the Dolcemare staff is a "big family" that works
every day to ensure that you see and feel the harmony that unites us, the complicity, the desire that our
guests feel welcomed and embraced in our home, in our Dolcemare.
